Will MacDonald scored six of York’s eight fourth-period points, including four of four from the line, as the Wildcats (6-1) held off the Rams (7-1) in Kennebunk.
MacDonald scored 17 while leading York to a 35-33 halftime lead, and then powered a 24-12 third-period Wildcats surge with 13 points for a 59-45 lead. Kennebunk, behind 10 points from Cam Lovejoy, trimmed 10 points off the lead in the fourth period but still fell to its first loss of the season.
MacDonald totaled 36 points. Lovejoy finished with 18 for the Rams, Maxwell Murray 17 and Kyle Pasieniuk 12. Lovejoy and Pasieniuk each netted four of Kennebunk’s 12 3-pointers.
