Sophomore Abby St. Claire led the Mustangs (1-1) with two goals and an assist in the win over the Phoenix (0-2) in Monmouth.
Izzy Hamann also had a pair of goals in the victory. Riley Smith and Tarynn Keleher each had a goal and two assists. Annabelle Carlton also scored and Abby Atwood had an assist.
June Foyt sopped three saves for Monmouth.
Adria McHugh had the lone goal for Spruce Mountain and Tyoaka Hodgkin made 26 saves in goal.
