South Portland’s Pamba Pamba made two free throws with 3.2 seconds remaining after he was fouled while Matt Romano hit a go-ahead basket for Sanford, enabling the Red Riots (4-3) to edge the Spartans (1-6) in South Portland.

Leyton Bickford’s last-second 3-point attempt was off the mark for Sanford.

Owen Hunter paced South Portland with 14 points, Geremi Baez added 13, and Pamba finished with 11.

Carson Bickford led Sanford with 17 points, including three 3-pointers. Romano tossed in 12 points, and Leyton Bickford scored 11.
