MESSALONSKEE 15, MT. ARARAT 2, 5 inn.: Brooke Martin slugged her third home run of the year and added a double, leading Messalonskee (8-2) to the KVAC victory in Oakland Monday.
Winning pitcher Danielle Hall (seven strikeouts) and Hannah Cummings also had doubles, with Cummings’s bringing in two runs to end the game in the fifth. Cummings, Martin and Kristen Dube had three hits apiece, and Leah Smith had two.
Emily Wormwood doubled and Megan Reed struck out six for Mt. Ararat (1-10).
