WELLS 3, MARSHWOOD 2
Devin Brown took a no-hitter into the sixth inning and Caden Dufort hit a two-run double as the Warriors (3-1) held off the Hawks (2-3) in Wells.
Dufort’s hit gave Wells a 2-0 lead in the fourth inning. Zach Carpenter doubled home Brown in the fifth to make it 3-0.
Lucas Templeton and Keith Ramsey each went 2 for 3 for Wells.
Marshwood freshman Noah Fitzgerald broke up Brown’s no-hit bid with a leadoff single in the sixth. The Hawks scored twice in the seventh off Carpenter, but freshman reliever Keith Ramsey got a strikeout with the bases loaded to end the game.
