Maranacook 72, Poland 53
Sophomore Cash McClure netted a game-high 24 points to lead Maranacook to a 72-53 victory over Poland in boys’ basketball action Friday evening.
The Knights (1-2) played evenly in the first quarter with an 18-17 lead after one. Sophomore Isaiah Hill and senior Tyler Tucci each had a team-high 14 points in the contest.
The Black Bears (2-1) picked up a head of steam in the second and third quarters, and came out roaring with a 27-15 fourth quarter performance. Mitch Root chipped in with 14 points for Maranacook in the winning effort.
