Senior guard Dylan Lajoie tossed a team-high 15 points in a balanced attack as Monmouth hung on for a 57-54 victory over Lisbon in boys’ basketball action Tuesday evening.

The Mustangs (2-3) played even in the first two quarters for a 26-26 tie at halftime. Connor Davies contributed 14 points and Gabriel Martin chipped in with 12 as Monmouth cruised to a 12-point lead after three.

But the Greyhounds (1-3) attempted to bounce back in the final minutes as senior guard Corey Wiers posted nine points down the stretch. DJ Douglass led Lisbon with with an impressive game-high 28 points in the losing effort..
