Caleb Corey connected on 10 free throws and scored 20 points to lead the Warriors to an opening win over the visiting Lakers.
Gavyn Leighton added 12 points and Payton McKay 10 for Wells.
Evan Willey had 22 points for Lake Region and Isaac Holland added points.
