CHEVERUS/NYA 30, DEERING 18: Madison Durgin homered, doubled twice and drove in six runs, and the Stags (3-6) scored 15 runs in the first inning as they defeated the Rams (0-9) in Portland.
Alexandra Hammond had four hits for the Stags, while Caroline Taylor and Mackenzie Turner each added three hits. Sydney Plummer hit a solo homer.
Deering closed to within 20-15 with a 13-run fourth inning. MacKenzie O’Donnell led the Rams with five RBI.
