MONMOUTH 12, OLD ORCHARD BEACH 4: The third-seeded Mustangs (14-2) extended their season with a win over the 14th-seeded Seagulls (1-12) in the Class C South quarterfinals in Monmouth.
Abby Flanagan, Katie Laliberte and Erin Gosselin all notched a double for Monmouth Academy in the win. Brooklyn Federico earned the win from the circle.
Old Orchard Beach’s Summer St. Louis took the loss from the circle but notched a triple at the plate with three total hits on the day.
