Caleigh Corcoran led a balanced offense with 15 points and the Red Riots (9-3) dominated the first half against the visiting Golden Trojans (3-8).
South Portland led 36-7 at halftime. The Red Riots got 14 points from Destiny Peter and 13 from Annie Whitmore.
Brooke Bodnar scored eight points for Thornton.
