Derek Couture topped four double-digit scorers for the Purple Panthers (1-1) in their road win over the Huskies (0-1) in Pittsfield.
Couture finished with 14 points, including 7-of-10 shooting at the free-throw line. Chris Nawfel and Cade Rogers (4 of 4 on foul shots) each contributed 11 points and Garrett Gendreau had 10 for Waterville.
MCI’s David Wright scored a game-high 15 points, and Caleb Rush added 10.
