TRAIP ACADEMY AT OLD ORCHARD BEACH

Brady Plante passed for six touchdowns and rushed two scores as the Seagulls (4-0) trounced the Rangers (1-3) in Old Orchard Beach.
With star running back Wes Gallant out of the lineup because of an injury, the Seagulls did most of their damage through the air. It started with the first play from scrimmage, as Riley Provencher got behind the Traip defense and hauled in a long pass from Plante for a 54-yard touchdown.
Old Orchard then recovered an onside kick, which led to a 36-yard TD reception by Trot Moody.
Plante added a 2-yard scoring run on OOB’s next reception, then tossed four more touchdown passes – 10 yards to Brayden Mansur, 65 yards to Provencher, 15 to Moody and 1 yard to Kooper Gervais.
Traip quarterback Max Jordan got his team on the scoreboard late in the second quarter with a 39-yard run.
Plante added a 26-yard run early in the third quarter before the Seagulls pulled their starters. Backup quarterback Chris Thornton scored OOB’s final two touchdowns – both 8-yard runs.
Finn Fifield returned a kickoff 75 yards for a touchdown in the fourth quarter.
