The Cougars (3-1-1) found their offense in the second half of a home win over the River Hawks (1-3-1) in Farmington.
JJ Greenlaw scored twice and Jose Gutierrez also found the back of the net for Mt. Blue, which was held scoreless in the first half. Nate Zeliger, Gage DeCarolis and Levi Bogar all tallied assists.
Chase Ranger made five saves for the shutout in goal. Ryan Donoghue stopped eight shots for Skowhegan.
