The Mustangs (5-3) scored the last six points of the second quarter to grab a 27-26 lead, the pulled away from the Seagulls (1-7) in the second half at Old Orchard Beach.
Levi Laverdiere led the reigning Class C state champions with 18 points. Jacob Harmon, whose three-point play at the end of the first half put Monmouth in front, finished with 11 points.
Trot Moody scored 19 points and Riley Provencher had 10 for the Seagulls.
