Eli Cowperthwaite threw a three-hitter with eight strikeouts and one walk to lead fifth-seeded Falmouth (15-3) past the fourth-seeded Hawks (12-6) in a Class A South quarterfinal at South Berwick.
Sam Kidder had three singles and scored twice for Falmouth, which advance to play top-seeded Thornton Academy on Saturday. Sean Dilworth added a double and a single.
Reed Smaracko had two of Marshwood’s three hits.
