Bryce Stacey tied the game with an RBI single in the sixth inning, then hit a walk-off single in the eighth as the top-seeded Hawks (18-0) edged the fourth-seeded Flyers (14-4) in a Class C South semifinal at Hiram.

Sacopee trailed 2-0 until Caleb Vacchiano hit a solo homer in the sixth.

After Stacey tied the game, Waynflete/NYA regained the lead in the top of the eighth, but the Hawks answered with two runs in the bottom half.

Grady Cummings got the win in relief of Carson Black, who allowed two runs on three hits while striking out nine in 5 2/3 innings.

Stacey led the Hawks with three hits. Vacchiano hit a double in addition to his home run.
