Alden Thacker scored 30 points to lead the sixth-seeded Breakers (8-11) past the third-seeded Eagles (7-7) in a Class D South quarterfinal at the Augusta Civic Center.
Pine Tree took control with a 14-0 run in the second quarter, then held off a late comeback bid by the Eagles, who cut an 18-point deficit to seven with 11 straight points in the fourth quarter.
Ben Ndamukunda added 14 points and 13 rebounds before fouling out.
Charlie Jagger paced Islesboro with 13 points. Blake Zlotkowski had 11.
