B SOUTH SEMIFINAL: #3-FREEPORT VS. #2-CAPE ELIZABETH

Addie Miller’s goal in overtime lifted the second-seeded Capers (12-1-3) over the third-seeded Falcons (10-4-2) in a Class B South semifinal at Cape Elizabeth.

Elizabeth Hooper served a high free kick from 35 yards that was headed by a Freeport defender in front of the goal, and Miller footed the ball into the net.

Noelle Mallory headed a ball from CC Duryee over Freeport keeper Karleigh Costello with 14:14 left in regulation for a 1-0 lead.

Freeport answered with exactly nine minutes remaining when Mia Levesque took a through ball from Lucy Riggs and sent a left-footed strike past Cape Elizabeth keeper Kelsey Law, who got a foot on the shot but couldn’t keep the ball from trickling into the net.
