The top-seeded Seagulls (9-0) advanced to the eight-man Small School South championship game for the third straight season, scoring six touchdowns in the first half and cruising past fourth0-seeded Boothbay (4-5) in a semifinal at Old Orchard Beach.
Quarterback Brady Plante scored on runs of 32 and 54 yards, and delivered touchdown passes of 36 yards to Riley Provencher, 70 yards to Kooper Gervais and 11 yards to Levi Perrone. Plante also returned an interception 46 yards for a score.
Old Orchard’s other touchdowns were Provencher’s 37-yard fumble return and Danny Cashman 1-yard run.
Boothbay’s Maddox Cusumano passed 31 yards to Shawn Gamage for a touchdown in the final minute.
