An Alissa Butterfield throw-in got the ball rolling for the Cougars (2-4) in a cross-conference road win over the Roadrunners (2-5) in Salem Township.
Butterfield’s first-half throw-in led to Natalee Orr’s opening goal midway through the frame.
Lilla Simpson doubled the Cougars’ lead midway through the second half off an assist Gracie Ross.
Destiny Hensley made two saves for the Mt. Blue shutout, while Jany Pepin stopped 12 shots for Mt. Abram.
