Colin Cronin hit an RBI single in the bottom of the seventh inning in Game 2 as the Falcons (6-0) earned a pair of 2-1 wins over the Capers (1-3) in Freeport.
Freeport’s Anthony Panciocco scored in the first inning on an RBI single by Kempton von Glinsky-Gregoire. Cape tied it in the top of the seventh when Jake Tinsman scored on a fielder’s choice.
In Game 1, Panciocco hit an RBI double in the first inning, and Gus Wing’s sacrifice fly drove in von Glinsky-Gregoire in the sixth. Cape Elizabeth scored an unearned run in the fourth.
Freeport starter Blaine Cockburn struck out 10 during four hitless innings, and Nathan Abbott got the victory with three innings of one-hit relief.
