Third-seeded Waterville (5-3) scored two touchdowns in the second quarter and pulled away with a key score in the fourth to knock off second-seeded Morse (5-4) in an eight-man Large School North semifinal at Bath.

The Purple Panthers will play at top-seeded Mt. Desert Island in the regional final.

After a scoreless first quarter, Waterville grabbed a 14-6 halftime lead, then held a 14-12 advantage through three quarters.

The Panthers, who also beat Morse 22-8 earlier this month, snapped a two-game losing streak. They defeated MDI 26-20 on the road in September.
