CAPE ELIZABETH 5, YORK 4

Gabe Harmon got his third hit of the game in the bottom of the seventh and scored from second base on an errant pickoff attempt as the Capers (8-7) beat the Wildcats (10-5) in Cape Elizabeth.

Cape Elizabeth built a 4-0 lead on an RBI single from Jake Tinsman in the first, a run-scoring single from Patrick O’Brien in the second and two runs in the third.

York’s Joe Neal hit an RBI single in the fourth. The Wildcats tied it in the top of the seventh on consecutive RBI singles from Alex Neilson, Hayden Henriksen and Austin Mather.

Owen Tighe was credited with the victory in relief after striking out the only batter he faced.
