WINTHROP 5, DIRIGO 1
Gavin Perkins had an RBI single in the sixth inning that broke the 1-1 tie and catapulted Winthrop to a 5-1 victory over Dirigo in baseball action Friday afternoon.
The Ramblers (6-3) put four runs on the board in the top of the sixth inning. The pitcher Colby Emery struck out seven for the complete game win for Winthrop.
Liam Burnette had a pair of singles for the Cougars (5-4) in the losing effort.
