Sam Gerber scored six goals to power the Bulldogs as they built a 12-0 halftime lead and easily handled the Blue Blazes in an opener at Fitzpatrick Stadium.

Drew Leonard and Max Cheever each had hat tricks for Portland, Tobey MacEachern had two goals and four assists, and Joe Pike, Ben Littell and Max Civiello each added goals.
