Andrew Shaw sank six field goals and two free throws for 14 points as Spruce Mountain sailed to a 60-19 victory over Mt. Abram in boy’s basketball action Friday evening.
The Phoenix (1-0) jumped out to a 22-4 lead in the first half and 36-12 at the midpoint. Kayle Stewart pitched in with 11 points on four baskets and two free throws, including a three pointer for Spruce Mountain.
Nate Luce led the Roadrunners (0-1) with eight points on three field goals, including two from three-point range, in the losing effort.
