Halloran Chase hit the go-ahead RBI double in the sixth inning and the Bulldogs (2-4) rallied past the Red Riots (4-2) in Portland.
Caroline Lerch homered in the first to put Portland up 1-0. South Portland tied it in the fourth, then went up 3-1 in the sixth behind an RBI-triple by Cortney Luce.
Portland cut the lead to 3-2 when Elaina Legere stole home. Lerch drove in the tying run on a single and went on to score on Chase’s double.
