SCARBOROUGH 9, FALMOUTH 3

Nic Frink, homered, doubled and drove in four runs and Joe Townsend went the distance to lead Scarborough to a 9-3 victory at Falmouth in a battle of unbeaten teams.
The Red Storm (3-0) took a 2-0 lead on Frink’s two-run home run off Falmouth starter Bennett Smith in the top of the first and added two more runs in the third, on an error and a Frink sacrifice fly.
Falmouth (5-1) scored twice in the fourth, but Scarborough opened it up with a four-run sixth, highlighted by a two-run, two-out triple from pinch-hitter Ashton Blanchette.
After Falmouth scored in final run in the bottom of the sixth on Peter McCluskey’s sacrifice fly, Frink hit an opposite field double in the seventh.
Townsend scattered nine hits and gave up three runs, two earned. He struck out five.
