BONNY EAGLE 3, SANFORD 2, 8 INNINGS
BONNY EAGLE 3, SANFORD 2: Mackenzie Emery walked to lead off the bottom of the eighth inning, advanced to third on a sacrifice and a wild pitch, then scored the winning run when a Makala Greene foul pop-up carried the third baseman into dead ball territory as the Scots (7-7) defeated the Spartans (1-12) at Standish.
Bonny Eagle took the lead in the first when Sarah Champagne scored on a Greene single, but Sanford moved ahead 2-1 on a two-run single by Grace Curley in the top of the fourth.
The Scots tied it in the bottom of the inning when Champagne scored on a bunt by Arianna Mejias.
