HERMON 5, OCEANSIDE 2
Breanna Oakes struck out 11 and hit a home run to lead the Hawks (8-1) over the Mariners (8-2) in Hermon.
Oceanside took a 1-0 lead in the first as Abby Veilleux scored on an error. Hermon tied it in the bottom of the inning on a solo homer by Oakes.
Hermon added two runs in each of the the fourth and sixth innings, highlighted by an RBI double by Megan Chamberlain in the fourth.
Chloe Jones of Oceanside struck out 16 batters, allowed four hits and walked one.
