SANFORD 4, MASSABESIC 3
SANFORD SWEEPS MASSABESIC: Caden Fontaine hit a walkoff RBI single in Game 1, then scored the winning run on a Zach Tremblay single in the seventh inning of Game 2 as the Spartans (3-4) pulled out a pair of 4-3 victories over the Mustangs (3-3) in Sanford.
Fontaine’s hit in the opener capped a three-run rally in the seventh. Dan Williams also had an RBI single and scored the winning run.
In Game 2, Fontaine had two RBI singles to help Sanford built a 3-0 lead, but Massabesic tied it with two runs in the fifth and one in the sixth.
