MARSHWOOD 6, WESTBROOK 1, 5 INNINGS
MARSHWOOD 6, WESTBROOK 1: Ian Parmley had three of Marshwood’s six hits, with an RBI and a run scored, as the Hawks (6-4) downed the Blue Blazes (1-9) during a weather-shortened five-inning game in Westbrook.
Jay Lyman singled home Connor Caverly and then scored on Parmley’s single for a 2-0 Marshwood lead in the top of the second. Westbrook countered with a run in the bottom of the inning; Matt Eugley led off with a double, the only Blazes hit of the game, and proceeded around the bases on a groundout and a wild pitch.
Marshwood scored in each of the remaining innings to pull away.
