Senior guard Spencer Strong scored a game-high 19 points, including 12 in the fourth quarter to lead Oxford Hills to a 59-51 triumph over Leavitt in boys’ basketball action Friday evening.

The Hornets (12-2) came out strong, taking a 21-15 lead in the first quarter.

But, freshman guard Wyatt Hathaway, who was Leavitt’s leading scorer with 18 points on six three-pointers, had to sit out five minutes with an injury while the Vikings (9-6) went on an 11-5 run in the third quarter.

Senior center Colton Carson contributed 13 points on two field goals and nine from the foul line. Carson was 6-for-6, while Oxford Hills was 12-of-14 from the charity stripe in the final quarter to hold on for the win.
