BATH — Ginny Twitchell and Ava Gagnon both scored first-half goals and the Leavitt defense shut down host Morse for a 2-0 victory in KVAC field hockey action on Monday.

Paige DeMascio only had to make one save for the Hornets (4-2) to secure the shutout. Rebecca Click made four saves in net for the Shipbuilders (4-2), who were dealt their first home loss of the season.

Leavitt finished the game with an advantage in shots on goal (6-1) and corners (8-2).
