WELLS 4, LAKE REGION 2
WELLS 4, LAKE REGION 2: Cam Cousins hit an RBI double, and Michael Wrigley scored on Matt Tufts’ sacrifice fly, as the Warriors (8-1) broke a 2-2 tie in the fifth inning to beat the Lakers (4-2) in Wells.
Wrigley drove in a run in the first on a ground out to give Wells a 1-0 lead. Mark Mayo hit an RBI single as Lake Region scored twice in the top of the fourth to take the lead. Wells tied it when Tyler Bridge tripled and scored on a ground out by Gary Andrews in the bottom of the inning.
Liam Bell finished with three hits for Wells. Isaac Holland rapped two singles for Lake Region.
