The Mt. Blue boys’ basketball team handed Hampden its first loss of the season Saturday, 73-72, on Saturday afternoon.
James Anderson paced the Cougars (5-1) with 23 points. Garrett Reynolds added 16 and Caleb Talbot scored 11. Nine players scored for Mt. Blue.
Hampden’s Bryce Lausier led all scorers with 38 points, including six 3-pointers and 12 free throws. Ross Webb contributed 15 points for the Broncos (5-1).
