Riley Beem and Julia McKenna each scored four goals as Windham opened its season with a win over two-time reigning Class A state champion Falmouth.

The Eagles were in control most of the way and twice led by two goals in the first half, but the lead was cut to 7-6 when Falmouth’s Molly Scribner scored at the horn.

Scribner then tied the game early in the second half before McKenna’s unassisted goal with 20 minutes to play put Windham ahead to stay. Goalie Logan Carper made nine saves for the Eagles.

Sloane Ginevan scored five goals for the Yachtsmen (1-1) and Scribner and Lucy Taylor added two each. Victoria Abbott made six saves.
