Colin Smith had three hits and Hayden Webber pitched six strong innings as the Capers won their season opener at home against the Dragons (0-2).

Smith hit a run-scoring single and Jake Tinsman added an RBI double in the fifth, when the Capers took the lead for good.

Webber struck out six before being relieved by Curtis Sullivan to start the seventh.
