SOUTH PORTLAND 5, BIDDEFORD 2: Grace Rende hit a go-ahead triple in the sixth inning to lead the Red Riots (8-8) over the Tigers (7-9) at South Portland.
Alexis Matteau’s RBI single in the top of the sixth gave Biddeford a 2-1 lead. Taylor Wildes led the Tigers with two hits.
Maria Buck scored for South Portland on an error in the bottom of the sixth to make it 2-2 before Rende hit her two-run triple.
Hattie Tetzlaff earned the win, allowing seven hits and one earned run with one walk and five strikeouts.
