LEWISTON ­— Gavin Simopolous scored 45 seconds into overtime to give sixth-seeded Cape Elizabeth a 4-3 win over No. 2 Cheverus in a Class B South boys’ hockey semifinal Saturday night at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee.

Andrew Carroll, Jonas Moon and Oskar Frankwicz also scored for the Capers (10-10), who move on to the regional final Wednesday night against Greely or Gorham.

Jackson Wilson scored two goals for Cheverus (17-3), including a quick strike just 21 seconds into the game. Callaghan Oliver got the other goal for the Stags.

Cheverus led twice 1-0 and 2-1, then tied the game on a goal by Wilson at 10:37 of the third period, after Frankwicz gave the Capers their first lead early in the third.

Cape goalie William Depke made 14 saves. Bryson Pomerleau of Cheverus had 22 saves.
