CHEVERUS 11, DEERING 1: Conner MacDonald pitched a four-hitter with four strikeouts and two walks, and John Welch had two hits and two RBI as the Stags (12-5) used an eight-run sixth inning to pull away from the Rams (8-10) at Portland.
Nathaniel Lapoint added a two-run single, and freshman Tanner Laflamme had two hits, one RBI, two runs scored and a stolen base.
Deering, led by Luke Hill with an RBI single, held a 1-0 lead in the fourth inning.
