GORHAM 7, MARSHWOOD 6: The fifth-seeded Rams (13-4) scored three runs in the first inning and added three more in the third, highlighted by a two-run single from Michelle Rowe, to build a 6-1 run lead before having to hold off the twelfth-seeded Hawks (6-11) at Gorham.
Lauren Leidemann-Smith had an RBI double to pace a three-run top of the fourth to cut the Marshwood deficit to 6-4, but Gorham added a run in their half of the inning.
The Hawks grabbed a pair of runs in the top of the sixth, with Leidemann-Smith getting her second RBI on a sacrifice fly, they left the tying run on third base.
Grace McGouldrick had three hits, including a double, to lead the way for the Rams, while Tatyanna Biamby and Kiana Tracey each had a pair of hits.
Leidemann-Smith finished with three hits for Marshwood.
