The 10th-ranked Red Eddies pulled off an upset win over the seventh-seeded Witches in a Class A North quarterfinal in Brewer.
Leah Thibodeau, Hannah Smith, Maddie Emmert and Courtney Larson each had a double for Edward Little. The Eddies opened the game with three runs in the top of the third inning. Maddy Scott pitched a complete game with six strikeouts while allowing five hits.
Brewer’s Josie Pece hit a home run in the sixth inning and also had a single.
